NURSERY

For many children one of the greatest challenges is the first few months at school. The Nursery at St. Georges School is designed to provide a structured introduction to academic life, whilst also giving each child the care and support they need to become confident in their new surroundings. The school day is carefully planned to recognise the specific needs of children in the early years and thereby to promote their individual development..

The curriculum provides a balance between daily academic work in formal literacy and numeracy skills and more general exploratory learning. The curriculum also includes Music and Movement, P.E. and French. Great emphasis is placed on encouraging social skills and awareness through role-play and imaginative work.
